Q: When you're not fishing, what are you doing? 

A: Hanging with my kids, playing golf, and tying flies. Most of the time in that order.

Q: Favorite memory in the outdoors?

A: One that really stands out though is when Thane Morgan and I caught 10 tarpon on the first day of the Don Hawley Tarpon tournament and ended up catching 27 for the week which set the record for the tournament. The stars aligned and we were incredibly lucky.

Q: What is a hot take/controversial opinion of yours?

A: I'd have to say that it's FFS or Forward facing sonar. I've been somewhat outspoken on this topic, mainly on the banning of it in Everglades national Park. I would really like to see the tarpon be able to get rest when the weather is bad or it's cold or they wouldn't be catchable any other way.

Q: What would be your death row meal?

A: I would have to say a big steak, a baked potato, and a salad.

Q: What is your top Bucket list Item?

A: Prior to this year, I would've said to win the Golden Fly tarpon tournament. We were lucky enough to do that this year and I haven't replaced that item yet.

Q: What is the best piece of advice you've ever received?

A: When I was learning to pole a boat to never watch where I was putting the push pole down and to start saving money as soon as I could.

Q: What does "Made for it" mean to you?

A: When you choose to do something as a career in life and you forever remain happy doing it.
